The National Handball & Croke Park Community Centre

The National Handball and Croke Park Community Centre was granted planning in 2017 and the building was commissioned in 2020 to facilitate the HSE as a Covid testing centre.

Facilities consist of a Large Community Hall, Café/Bar, Changing Rooms, and office space on the ground floor currently occupied by GAA Handball.

There are 3 x (40x20) Handball courts and 1 x (60x30 with seating for 200) on the first floor along with 2 x one wall courts in the large upstairs hall.  The show Court is one of the 40x20 courts and has amphitheatre seating for 500.  The total area of the building is circa 3,100 sqm and the build cost of €11.3m was funded by the GAA.

The facility is currently used by a number of community groups weekly, e.g., special needs groups, prayer groups, children’s dancing groups, as well as by countless recreational handball players.
