Croke Park Community Meetings

Croke Park Community Meetings are held at various times throughout the year.  They are open to all those who live within the stadium’s 1.5km community radius and interested in attending. 

The meetings are an opportunity for local residents to drop into the stadium and meet with stadium management and other local area stakeholders. The meetings are chaired by independent chairperson Noeline Blackwell.

Residents registered on the Croke Park Database are invited to review and comment on the draft report arising from the recent resident consultation process.

More than 300 residents applied to participate, with three groups of approximately 15 residents selected through a random computerised process. Representation was balanced between those living closest to the stadium and residents in the wider surrounding area.
Using a structured small-group approach, each group attended two facilitated meetings focused on:

• Transport, Traffic and Parking

• Anti-Social Behaviour and the Public Realm

• Communications and Ticketing

The process also included 29 written submissions, stakeholder consultation, issue-mapping exercises and a review of event-day procedures.

Residents Submissions

The consultation was independently chaired and guided by David Begg, former General Secretary of ICTU and former CEO of Concern Worldwide. He is currently Chair of the Balbriggan regeneration project and has previously chaired the Mater Hospital, the Pensions Authority and the Workplace Relations Commission.

The draft report summarises the issues raised, proposed improvements and arrangements for monitoring the delivery of agreed actions. Before the report is published in its final form we would like to invite comments to the draft report (above)
