Experience Match Day

Match Day in Croke Park is the culmination of months and years hard work, passion for and dedication to Irish sport.

For the teams it brings anticipation, nerves and determination in equal measure. For fans it’s an opportunity to celebrate club and county achievements at the highest level. And for those who work diligently in the background, providing the services required to deliver such fantastic occasions – it’s about focus and doing what they do best, the unsung heroes of Croke Park and Gaelic Games.

Croke Park is more than just a stadium - it’s about bringing people together with a shared goal; it’s about passion, culture and teamwork both on and off the pitch. As the saying goes – ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ and the galleries below highlight what it means for all those people who make this an iconic sporting venue.

Anticipation & Passion

Where would sport be without the fans? GAA fans surely rank amongst the most passionate, competitive and yet friendly of world sport. From early in the year – through league and into the summer Championship season, the club and county colours are worn by young and old alike. Towns and villages around the country are ablaze with colour, all culminating in the All-Ireland Championship finals where the roar of opposing fans is only matched by the passion and determination on the pitch.

Commitment & Skill

Gaelic Games are Ireland’s ancient national sports and include the world’s fastest field sport, Hurling. The GAA is proudly recognised as the largest amateur sporting organisation in the world but to witness the skill and athleticism of our players is to experience professionalism in its truest sense.
