TRAFFIC & PARKING RESTRICTIONS

SUNDAY July 19th

With a full stadium at Croke Park this weekend, residents and motorists are advised that An Garda Síochána will implement traffic management measures, including road closures and parking restrictions, to facilitate crowd management and emergency access.

Parking restrictions will be in operation on Sunday. An Garda Siochana have asked that the following areas be kept clear of vehicles from 11.15am Sunday.

  • St Joseph's Avenue
  • Stadium side of St James' Avenue
  • Nally Square
  • Russell Street
  • St Margaret's Avenue
  • Sackville Avenue
  • A19 Gate / Love Lane will be used as an exit route following the matches.

Jones Road and Russell Street will be closed throughout the day

Clonliffe Road, together with the roads leading to and from it, will be subject to soft closures from 8.30am with a hard closure coming into effect from 11.30am (approx) to facilitate the safe movement of patrons travelling to and from the stadium before and after the match.

During these closures, resident vehicular access will be via Fitzroy Avenue and Ballybough Road. Please bring your Resident Pass with you if you are entering or leaving the cordoned area.

Important Information

In the interests of public safety, An Garda Síochána will restrict vehicular entry and exit during periods of high pedestrian traffic. At such times, possession of a resident vehicle pass does not automatically guarantee access through the Garda cordon, and motorists may be required to wait until it is safe for traffic to proceed.

Residents and motorists are requested to comply with all temporary traffic management arrangements and Garda instructions.
