The Grass is always Greener at Croke Park!

A seed was planted, a plan has been germinating, and the GAA Museum and Croke Park Pitch Management team are now thrilled to announce a brand new tour for 2025.

Pitch Perfect Tours at Croke Park will take visitors behind the scenes to learn more about pitch operations at the iconic stadium. On the tour, you’ll find out how the pitch is maintained at Croke Park and discover how the team plan for numerous match days and concerts.

These exclusive tours will take place four times in 2025 and include a presentation by a member of the Pitch Team, a visit to look at the equipment used, a trip pitchside to see how all the hard work pays off and a final spectacular birds’ eye view of the famous field from the upper tier.

You’ll come away full of knowledge you can use to impress your friends the next time you attend a match at Croke Park! You’ll know what FAVVS, BMS and SGL stand for, understand how soil temperatures are monitored and learn how the grass is mowed during the season. The tour will also include information about the GAA’s farm in north county Dublin and give an insight into other pitches managed by the Croke Park team.

Tickets cost €30 (€27 for seniors / students) and must be booked online in advance.

Guests will receive an exclusive Pitch Perfect gift as well as a complimentary coffee in the GAA Museum’s Blackthorn Café.
Visitors are also welcome to explore the museum collections following their tour.

Don’t miss out, or you’ll be grass green with envy!
