Celebrating legends of the game

The hugely popular Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series returns to Croke Park for 2024. The Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series invites fans to join their heroes at Croke Park as they give fascinating insights into careers that were packed with brilliant moments. These tours provide fans with a fascinating insight into the careers of legendary GAA figures.

The GAA Legends that will lead a tour during this series include Richie Hogan (Kilkenny), Michael Murphy (Donegal), Tomás Ó Sé (Kerry), Bríd Stack (Cork), Neil McManus (Antrim), Tony Scullion (Derry) and more.

The players will be interviewed by a GAA Museum tour guide about their career, giving people a tour through their earliest memories of playing Gaelic Games, lining out for club and county, their heroes and their Croke Park memories.

Tours will run from 2nd June until 10th August, to coincide with the Hurling and Football Championships.

2024 Legends Tour dates:

Neil McManus (Antrim)

Tickets Coming Soon

A stalwart of Antrim and Ulster hurling, Neil McManus made his inter-county debut in 2007 and went on to represent the Saffrons with prowess, for sixteen years, before retiring in 2023.

Richie Hogan (Kilkenny)

Saturday 8th June - 11am

During his illustrious inter-county hurling career with the Cats, Richie Hogan won the Liam MacCarthy Cup on seven occasions, alongside eleven Leinster Senior Hurling Championships and five National Hurling Leagues.

Michael Murphy (Donegal)

Saturday 29th June - 11am

In 2007 Michael Murphy made his senior debut for Donegal in 2007, aged 18. He went on to represent his county with distinction for fifteen years, captaining the Tír Chonaill men to All-Ireland Senior Championship glory in 2012.

Ollie Baker (Clare)

Saturday 6th July - 10am

Clare’s commanding midfielder, Ollie Baker, won the Liam MacCarthy Cup twice during his inter-county hurling career with the Banner County. He secured his maiden Celtic Cross in 1995, which was the Munster men’s first All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship title since 1914.

Tony Scullion (Derry)

Saturday 13th July - 11am

Tony Scullion has represented his county, province and country at the highest level. The Derry defender was central to the Oak Leaf County’s Sam Maguire success in 1993. In addition to his Celtic Cross, Tony won three National Football Leagues & two Ulster Championship titles.

Nicky English - (Tipperary)

Wednesday 17th July - 6.30pm

GAA Museum Hall of Fame Inductee, Nicky English, is a member of an elite group that have won All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships as both a player and a manager. In 1989 he played a pivotal role in helping to bringing the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to the Premier County for the first time in over a decade.

Tomás Ó Sé (Kerry)

Saturday 27th July - 2pm

Hailing from a legendary GAA family, Tomás Ó Sé wore the Green and Gold jersey with esteem between 1998 and 2013. The An Gaeltacht Clubman represented Kerry 88 times in Senior Championship Football, winning all of the major honours, including five All-Ireland Senior Football Championships, nine Munster Championship titles and three National Football Leagues.

Bríd Stack (Cork)

Saturday 3rd August - 11am

Bríd Stack is one of the most decorated players in the fifty-year history of Ladies Gaelic Football. During her stellar career representing the Rebel County, Bríd won eleven All-Ireland Senior Football Championships in the space of twelve years.

Ursula Jacob (Wexford)

Saturday 10th August - 11am

Wexford’s Ursula Jacob has won every major medal in Camogie. A four-time All-Ireland Champion, with her county, Ursula in also a triple All-Ireland winner with her club, Oulart-The Ballagh. A member of a successful sporting family, Ursula’s father Mick, was Wexford’s first Hurling All-Star.
