GAA Museum Announce Summer Book Club For Kids!

Since launching earlier this year, the GAA Museum’s virtual Book Club has proved a real hit with book lovers who have been reading a GAA themed book a month. And for the summer, the GAA Museum want younger readers to get involved too with the launch of their limited-edition Kids Book Club!

The GAA Museum Book Club for Kids will delve into two brilliant GAA books suitable for children - one in July and one in August. Perfect for getting stuck into during the summer holidays!

For July we’re reading All To Play For by Donn McClean, sports writer with the Sunday Times.13-year-old Anna loves football, but everything changes after a terrible loss and Anna and her family move to a new town. How will she cope with a new home, new school and new club? All To Play For, published by O’Brien books is aimed at accelerated readers and middle years plus readers.

The book can be purchased with 20% off now on the GAA Museum’s online shop.

Once they’ve enjoyed the book, young readers will have the chance submit their questions to the author and in doing so, be up for a chance to win a GAA Museum Prize Pack including a family voucher for the Stadium Tour, plus an O’Neill’s GAA Museum jersey!

The GAA Museum will record a special Q&A session with the author and release it on Croke Park’s web and social channels on Friday July 30th. To be in with a chance to win, simply post a video or picture of your little one enjoying the book and submit a question using #GAABookClubForKids by Sunday July 25th. Donn will choose the best question as part of the Q&A recording and the winner will be contacted.

After that, the GAA Museum will announce the next kids book for August - so stay tuned!
