Meet Our Meetings & Events Team
05/04/2017
It is all about team here and we have a weird and wonderful one at Croke Park Meetings & Events!
There’s folk here who ran with the bulls in Pamplona and swam with piranhas in the Amazon. We’ve got spider-haters, boxercisers, graphic designers and middle aged men in lycra. We’ve even got award winners: one of the team was voted Queen of Sneem and another is the current
In-House Event Person of the Year!
We recently welcomed some new members to the team so we decided to update our team pic and share something of the great mix of people who make up Croke Park Meetings & Events. Check out our photoshoot and get to know us all a little bit better below.
Mark Dorman is our team manager and head coach. With a strong background in FMCG marketing, Mark originally came to Croke Park to run the award winning GAA Museum. These days he’s Head of Stadium Business and is actively involved in our on-going re-imagining of Croke Park Meetings & Events. A keen cyclist and connoisseur of good coffee, one-on-one meetings with Mark are always caffeine fuelled.
Team captain is
Sinéad Heneghan. Sinéad is a seasoned professional in hospitality and highly experienced at accepting awards and accolades on behalf of Croke Park – unlike the hapless Co Mayo where she comes from. They haven’t seen the
Sam Maguire for over 6 decades but Sinéad still loves being out on the Wild Atlantic Way, catching mackerel for the barbecue and taking in the exhilarating, salty air.
If you’re an agency or have worked with Croke Park for a while, you’ll definitely know
Sabrina Curran as she’s been taking care of your business at Croke Park for over a dozen years! One of our longest serving team members, Sabrina epitomises the service ethos that’s at the heart of who we are. She’ll always go the extra mile to surprise and delight. If you want to curry Sabrina’s favour then give her Fry’s Chocolate Cream – she’s a hopeless addict!
Gavin O’Broin is the latest addition to the team. A keen hurler, Gavin will happily demonstrate his top drawer hurling skills for any overseas client who needs an immersion in Gaelic Games. It’s his one and maybe only guarantee of playing in Croke Park!
Melissa Heeney is our Event Manager. You won’t find a spoon out of place under Melissa’s forensic attention to every event and meeting detail. And our Melissa has quite a thing about spoons. She’ll only eat her porridge, apple tart and banoffi with a tiny teaspoon – no big dessert spoons for her!
Our catering sales manager is
Sinéad Flynn and she brings a wealth of wonderful experience to her role. While working in London, she planned events such as the PR launch of the highly popular Downton Abbey. Flexibility is a key brand pillar for Croke Park Meetings & Events, no more perfectly modelled than by Sinéad’s special skill: she can bend her thumb back to her forearm.
We’re fortunate to have an intern on the Croke Park Meetings & Events team and doubly fortunate it’s
Amy Battersby. A stalwart Meath supporter, Amy is currently studying Event Management at Dundalk IT while interning with the meetings and events team. Amy wears many, many, many hats as this enterprising lady also runs her own millinery business.
David Adams comes to Croke Park following a stellar career in the hotel business. As event facilities executive, David is the puppeteer working behind the scenes to ensure that all Event Orders are dancing gracefully and harmoniously to the right tune. And David knows all about tunes – he’s also an accomplished jazz musician.
Gráinne Ni Ghiollagáin joined Croke Park having worked previously for a global PCO. A qualified pharmacist, she was once the 8
th dwarf in an Irish language school production of Snow White. Called Cainteach (“Chatty” in English) she claims any connection between that role and her personality is entirely coincidental!
Here’s true commitment, passion and dedication:
Ciara Tait, Sales Executive, occasionally spends 7 days a week at Croke Park as her commitment to her esteemed clients is only matched by her weekend passion for Dublin GAA. She really likes to mix things up in her life, particularly Popcorn and Malteasers, her favourite treat.
We love to get out and about to meet clients so don't be surprised if we land on your doorstep some day soon with our famous treats. Contact us or talk to the team on +353 1 8192300. Click here for our direct contact details.
