Meet the Croke Park Meetings & Events Team!
05/04/2023
Croke Park is all about teamwork and our Meetings & Events team is no exception. The only team to win three-in-a-row for Best In-House Event team at the Event Industry Awards, Croke Park Meetings & Events is led by Mayo native, Sinéad Heneghan and supported by a delightfully diverse line-up of event specialists and sales professionals.
If you’ve run an event at Croke Park, then you’ll certainly be acquainted with our Event Operations Manager, Fiona Cronin. From Cork, Fiona looks after all meeting and event operations and makes sure no detail is overlooked. Fiona loves to travel and brings best global practice to bear on her work at Croke Park.
Working alongside Fiona are David Adams (Event Facilities Executive) and Sinead Flynn (Catering Sales Manager).
David brings 30 years hotel industry experience to his role in Croke Park and works across events and facilities as the central point of contact between all parties to an event production.
Sinéad Flynn, meanwhile, ensures that our food and beverage offering is always best-in-class and her on-going advanced studies in wine and spirits highlights her commitment to the role.
Fiona is also supported by two Event Co-Ordinators both of whom bring a truly global perspective to their respective roles. Coincidentally, both Claire Griese and Eliana Benevento hail from the USA, although Claire completed her studies in Ireland, qualifying with a masters from UCD. From Florida, Claire has prior stadium experience, having worked at the Hard Rock Stadium, Florida, home of the Miami Dolphins
Eliana Benevento, meanwhile, has slotted seamlessly into the scene at Croke Park, scoring four goals in her debut LGFA Blitz! The fact that this was the first time she ever held a Gaelic football, makes the feat even more astonishing! More than just the sports star, Eliana, like David Adams (above) is also a musician.
Working with Sinéad Heneghan on the sales side are Shauna Conroy from Dublin and Evin Walker from Mayo. Shauna is a graduate of DIT Cathal Brugha Street in Event Management and is lead eco-warrior on the Meetings and Events team. As well as championing sustainability, she ensures that Croke Park’s award-winning sustainability protocols are implemented across all meetings and events activity.
Evin Walker, on the other hand, is a Law graduate from NUIG with an MBA from Dublin Business School. Prior to joining the team at Croke Park, he worked in community development, opening the Blacksod Lighthouse as a bilingual visitor centre in his native county. A people person to the core, he’s also a proud Gaeilgeoir.
The core Meetings & Events team are supported day in, day out by our brilliant Aramark (catering) and Avcom (AV) teams.
A fresh team line-up with delightfully diverse backgrounds and experience, but all focused on a common goal: making your event brilliant!
