Awards Hat-Trick for Croke Park Meetings & Events

Croke Park Meetings & Events beat off stiff competition to bag a hat-trick of top prizes at the Events Industry Awards held on Friday night last at a packed Double Tree Hotel in Dublin.

The awards included best in-house event team and best launch event with team member Melissa Heeney taking top prize for best in-house events person.

“In January 2015 we started a process to “re-imagine” Croke Park as a world class location for meetings and events. To date this has involved a significant capital investment in our facilities, a total upgrade of our digital infrastructure, a re-fresh of our brand and a commitment to on-going training and development with our most precious asset: our people. Winning these awards, along with the INCON Digital Infrastructure Award that we picked up at IMEX Frankfurt in April, confirms that our plans are on the right track” said Peter McKenna, Croke Park Stadium & Commercial Director.
Best Launch Event - Croke Park Meetings & Events
“I’m thrilled for the entire team here at Croke Park Meetings & Events. The launch event was a real cross discipline project involving sales, marketing and operations along with our in-house catering, AV and entertainment teams. Winning that award is testimony to the collaborative culture and experience that clients can expect when they work with us here”, said Mark Dorman, Head of Stadium Business.
In-House Event Person of the Year - Melissa Heeney
Sinead Heneghan, Head of Sales added: “I’m so proud that our team was chosen as “best in-house event team” and that Melissa Heeney got the “best in-house event person” award. We were competing against highly experienced events professionals but our people won out thanks to our extraordinary workplace culture and our on-going learning and development programmes”.
