Writers from the Rooftop
From Brendan Behan to Oscar Wilde, Dublin is famous for its vibrant literary scene and has produced some of the world’s most beloved storytellers. Ireland’s capital was designated a UNESCO City of Literature in 2010 and has produced Nobel prize winning writers, popular fiction megastars, poets and everything in between.
As well as the intriguing people behind the words, the city itself is a wonderland for those with a passion for the written word. Universities, pubs, streets and even waterways are the backdrop to the evolution of writing in Dublin.
Join us from the Kellogg’s Skyline walkway on the roof of Croke Park as we look at these famous sites on our brand-new Writers from the Rooftop tour. Listen as your guide treats you to an irreverent and quirky look at the writers of Dublin and their stomping grounds. You’ll discover more about the bohemian quarter of Baggotonia, spot some famous Joycean landmarks and enjoy tales of modern Dublin scribes all while taking in panoramic views of the city.
Please note this tour operates at height on the roof of Croke Park and takes place in all types of weather so dress appropriately. It's suitable for Over 16s only and tickets should be booked online in advance. Visit crokepark.ie/skyline in advance of your visit to read the health and safety advice for all Kellogg's Skyline tours.
