Ready, Teidí, Go!

Teidí Tours are back at the GAA Museum in Croke Park! Young GAA fans will have a basket full of fun as they make their very own sports bear, including bunny Easter chicks and lambs, followed by a guided tour of Croke Park stadium with their furry friend over the Easter break, and there will be a special Teidí Tour on St. Patrick’s Day.

The bear making workshop and family friendly tour of Croke Park is the perfect day out for families with young children, as they get to learn about the history and culture of the GAA while also having fun making their new cuddly buddy.

Commencing with a workshop in Cú Chulainn’s Den, each child will select their bear skin, stuff their bear, find a bear heart, give their new furry friend a name, and get a ‘bear-th’ cert! Not only that, but brand new bear skins will be available for this year’s Teidí Tours, which will include snuggly sloths, cuddly crocodiles and exclusive Easter bears such as bunny rabbits and Easter chicks! Children will then get to dress their new bear in its own GAA Museum training kit. After that, it’s time to get exploring as families and teddies head off on a family friendly tour of Croke Park stadium, including a visit to the dressing rooms and the chance to walk pitch-side. Don't forget to snap photos of your new teddy exploring the stadium!

For those looking for more adventure, access to the GAA Museum is also included following the tour, where all ages can check out the incredible new club wall, learn fun facts about the GAA and Croke Park, and test their own hurling and football skills in the interactive games zone.

To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the GAA Museum, the iconic 'Club Wall' has been reimagined, showcasing crests from every club globally, including LGFA, Camogie, Handball, and Rounders units. Children and teddies can also follow the Junior Explorer trail through the exhibitions and find clues along the way!

The GAA Museum continues to be a leading visitor attraction, having recently won the prestigious 2023 CIE Tours Awards of Excellence (Leinster Visit Merit Award) and also earned recognition for its workplace culture, being certified as one of Ireland's Great Places to Work.

Teidí Tours are specially designed for children ages 3 and over, and each child ticket (€30) includes a 16-inch bear to make and take home, plus a bear training kit. Adult tickets are €10, and student/senior tickets are €8. Tours will run across the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th of March at 10.30 and 13.30, and there will also be a special St Patrick’s Day tour on 17th March at 2.30pm. Tours last approx. 2 hours. Tickets are limited so book online in advance to avoid disappointment.

Both the GAA Museum and Croke Park Stadium Tour are fully accessible for people with disabilities, and there are toilet and baby changing facilities on site if your little ones and their new teddies are feeling peckish, head for the Blackthorn Café which is open daily serving hot lunches, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and more. Why not welcome your new furry friend to the family with a Teddy Bear’s picnic, as outdoor picnic table seating is available? There is free on-site parking adjacent to the GAA Museum for cars/buses in the Cusack Stand Car Park.  Access to the Museum is via St. Joseph’s Avenue (off Clonliffe Road).
