Savvy Seniors head to the GAA Museum this May

The GAA Museum is offering a special senior discount on the Croke Park Stadium Tour and GAA Museum for the month of May to celebrate Bealtaine

Are you over 60 and looking for a fun day out this May?  One of Dublin’s top attractions, the Croke Park Stadium Tour, is offering a special discount to senior visitors for the entire month of May to celebrate Bealtaine, the festival of arts and creativity as we age.

As part of the stadium’s year-round commitment to supporting active retirement, the access-all-areas Stadium Tour is usually reduced for seniors from €11 to €8.50 every Monday.  However, for the month of May, seniors can avail of this savvy offer every day of the week!

If you’re travelling with a group of 15+, you can also enjoy ‘The Full Feast’ package for €27.50pp, which includes tea/coffee and freshly baked scones in the museum’s renowned Blackthorn Café on arrival, a behind-the-scenes Stadium Tour led by your own private Tour Guide, a full lunch served in one of the Stadium’s suites overlooking the pitch, and entry to the GAA Museum.  Or ‘The Lighter Bite’ package has a lighter food option for €22.50.

The Croke Park Stadium Tour & GAA Museum provide a wonderful insight into Ireland’s rich history and sporting heritage and the venue is itself an iconic landmark worth visiting.

In the company of a passionate Tour Guide, this is your chance to walk in the footsteps of legends out pitchside through the players’ tunnel, visit the team dressing rooms and players’ lounge, and experience the stunning views of the pitch from the media centre.

A trip to Croke Park simply wouldn’t be complete without experiencing their treasured state-of-the-art GAA Museum, which is also included in your ticket price. Immerse yourself in the story of Gaelic games from ancient times to present day as you explore the Hall of Fame and the Players of the Year exhibition. See the original Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups up close, and learn about the GAA’s contribution to Ireland’s cultural, social and sporting heritage since its foundation in 1884.

If you’re feeling energetic, you can even test your own hurling and football skills your skills at the museum’s Interactive Games Zone– see how fast you can react, check your passing skills and practice a fingertip save or the art of the high catch!

With so much to see and do, this really is an offer not to be missed and would be an ideal outing for couples, groups of friends, retirement groups, care settings, clubs and associations.

To avail of the various offers, you will need to present a valid ID. There’s free parking on site and the tour is fully wheelchair accessible.
