Minute books contain the meeting minutes of the Ard Chomhairle and subsidiary committees of the Camogie Association. The books contain the written record of all decisions taken by Ard Chomhairle between 1911 and 1985. Individual topics of note recorded in the books include the administration of the Camogie Association at National, Provincial and County Board level; the administration of the various camogie competitions held under the auspices of the Central Council; the relationship between the Camogie Association and the Gaelic Athletic Association (G.A.A.); the relationship between the Association and the media; the split (and resolution) that occurred due to the lifting of the ‘foreign games rule’; the split (and resolution) that occurred due to the involvement of men in the Camogie Association and the reaction of the Camogie Association to the outbreak of the ‘Troubles’.
