Free Community Compost
Croke Park in conjunction with Thornton’s Recycling are offering local residents the opportunity to avail of free compost. The compost derives from compostable waste collected from the stadium and treated at the Thornton’s Recycling composting facility in Co. Meath.

Croke Park Community Fund
So far in 2015, the Croke Park Community Fund has supported 13 local community projects. The fund has now allocated over €600,000 to local community groups since it was established in 2009 and applications are accepted year round.

Local Employment Opportunities
Stadium Catering Team
Aramark Ireland provides all the catering and hospitality services here in the stadium. Currently, 25 per cent of their staff in Croke Park have been recruited from the local community. The stadium’s annual open recruitment day for local residents will take place later in the Spring and anyone interested in applying can email their CV to email@example.com.
Croke Park Community Mosaic Unveiled
Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Aogán Ó Fearghail recently unveiled a special mosaic in Croke Park Stadium which was created by the pupils of St. Columba’s National School, North Strand. Entitled “Conas a fuair Cú Chulainn a ainm” (How Cú Chulainn got his name), it’s the culmination of nearly two years work by the local primary school children.
