Croke Park in your Classroom
Free Virtual Tour for Primary Schools including Live Q&A
While it might not be possible to bring your class to Croke Park right now, why not let us bring Croke Park to you, virtually speaking!
With restrictions on school tours in place due to the ongoing public health situation, the GAA Museum & Tours will deliver a FREE
Croke Park highlights tour direct to your primary school classroom!
Designed for 1st
class, this new virtual experience provides pupils with an opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium via a pre-recorded video, followed by an interactive quiz and live Q&A session with one of our tour guides.
The teacher and pupils will get an opportunity to engage with the tour guide, ask questions and maybe do a "show and tell" on a recent project or artwork on a GAA theme. There is plenty of scope to customise the Q&A for the class.
In advance, the tour guide will communicate directly with the teacher and tailor the Q&A to the requirements of the class, as well as supply a digital copy of the GAA Museum’s Primary School Resource Pack.
The Croke Park in your Classroom
virtual visit will last 40 – 50 minutes during which your class will learn more about the key historical figures in the foundation and development of the GAA and gain a real insight into what happens behind-the-scenes in Croke Park and the preparations for a match day.
- A good internet connection and access to Microsoft Teams for the video call.
- Schools must ensure that participation by pupils in this initiative is in accordance with the school’s own e-learning policy.
The tour must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.
