The 1967 All-Ireland football final between Meath and Cork which took place on September 24th. Despite only scoring one point in the first half, Meath emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-9. This was the first time the Royal County had lifted Sam Maguire since 1954. Interestingly, this was the first ever championship meeting of the two sides. Cork were victorious the minor game that day overcoming Laois 5-14 to 2-3.
