This notebook was owned by Maurice Davin and contains hand-written observations on the rules of other games, diet and the records set by other athletes. The first pages of the notebook contain the rules of Association Football (soccer).  As early as 1885 the GAA ‘banned’ its members from playing non-Gaelic games.
