The decade from 1913-1923 was one of profound political transformation in Ireland.  Many GAA members featured prominently in the revolutionary developments.It was a challenging time for the GAA, as it adapted to the changing political landscape in Ireland while at the same time carrying out its core function of administering Gaelic games.
