President of the Estonian Parliament visits Croke Park

1 March 2017:

Croke Park warmly welcomed Mr. Eiki Nestor, President of the Riigikogu (the Parliament of Estonia) while on a recent visit to Dublin. The Estonian Ambassador to Ireland, Mrs. Kristi Karelsohn, accompanied him on his visit to the home of Gaelic Games. 
 
Director General of the GAA, Páraic Duffy, greeted the parliamentary delegation at the GAA Museum and presented Mr. Nestor with a hurley and sliothar.  
 
The group were given a guided tour of the GAA Museum, which celebrates the rich cultural, social and sporting heritage of our national games. Highlights of their tour were the museum’s historic trophy collection and the interactive games area, where they got to try their hand at hurling and Gaelic football.
 
The tour concluded with on the Etihad Skyline, Croke Park’s rooftop walkway, where they enjoyed the sunshine and panoramic 360° views of the city and Dublin Bay, while Cian their guide gave them insights into Dublin’s celebrated landmarks.
