New Year's Festival Dublin at the GAA Museum

Celebrate New Year's Festival Dublin at the GAA Museum.

Now in its third year, the citywide festival will be bigger and better than ever with an amazing programme of activities, including two days of entertainment at the GAA Museum.

Taking part in the NYF Dublin programme of events for the first time, the GAA Museum will host live trad music and Irish dancing sessions from 1pm - 4pm on Saturday 31st December and Sunday 1st January.

Musicians from Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh, a leading community organisation in Dublin teaching the playing of traditional Irish music, will provide an exciting session of genuine traditional music over the two days.

Featuring a variety of instruments associated with the tradition, vistors will enjoy sets of reels, jigs, hornpipes and slower airs. The group will also be joined by Irish dancers from the McCormack Fay Academy of Irish Dancing, to give a first class display of traditions that once were uniquely Irish and now have global appeal.
