Heritage Week 2023 at the GAA Museum

All About Hurling Tour

To mark 100 years since the famous Liam MacCarthy Cup was presented, the GAA Museum will focus on all things hurling this Heritage Week.

Join us on Sunday 20th August at 11am for a free tour to learn more about the Liam MacCarthy Cup, the game of hurling and match days at Croke Park stadium.

During this guided tour, visitors will see the dressing rooms, walk pitchside and take a seat in the VIP area. There will also be a chance to spend time in the GAA Museum and see the original Liam MacCarthy Cup as well as the Liam MacCarthy collection. This collection consists of a series of letters, pictures and newspaper clippings donated to the GAA Museum and archives by the McCarthy family.

The All About Hurling tour is suitable for all ages. Our younger visitors can spend time in the museum's interactive games area and also compete their very own Liam MacCarthy artwork in our children's play area Cú Chulainns Den.

Tickets for this event are now sold out and we will not be operating a waiting list for this event.
