GAA Museum Kids Art Competition

Calling all parents and homeschoolers...

You’re only getting used to homeschooling and sometimes lesson plans can be hard, so the GAA Museum is here to help. We have your art lesson covered with our GAA Musuem Art Competition.

To enter, all you must do is ask the little ones to create a picture using whatever materials they like – crayons, markers, paints, colouring pencils or collage.

The theme for the picture is ‘My Favourite GAA Object’. The object can be something they saw when they visited the GAA Museum or it might be their favourite jersey, hurley, football, trophy or medal – anything goes!

Parents this is your time to shine, we’d like you to take a photo of their creation and then share it on your Instagram page using the hashtag #gaamuseumart to enter.

In the caption, don’t forget to include the first name of the brilliant artist, their class in school and the title of the picture. Make sure you follow the @crokepark_official Instagram account so we can contact you if you’re a winner!

We have some brilliant prizes on offer, and it will also be lovely to see and share some fantastic GAA art.

There are three categories:
  1. Junior / Senior Infants
  2. 1st / 2nd / 3rd Class
  3. 4th / 5th / 6th
The overall winner in each category will receive a complimentary stay (B&B) for a family of four in a family room in the Croke Park hotel on a night of your choice (subject to availability), they’ll also receive a family of four voucher for the Croke Park Stadium Tour and the Ericsson Skyline Tour.

There will be two runners up in each category who will each receive family vouchers for the Croke Park Stadium Tour and the Ericsson Skyline Tour.

To make things more exciting, your entries will be judged by All-Star hurler and seven-time All-Ireland winner Richie Hogan. So, take out the art supplies and get creative.

The competition will remain open until Sunday 5th April, meaning there’s plenty time for everyone to perfect their masterpieces. We can’t wait to see the entries!
