Free Community Compost

Spring has most certainly sprung here in the stadium and for our incredible local gardeners, Croke Park’s annual community compost scheme will now take place on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 April 2019 from 10am-4pm each day.

This stadium initiative is organised in conjunction with Thornton’s Recycling and is open to all our neighbours living in the stadium's 1.5km community area to avail of free compost.  The compost derives from compostable waste collected from the stadium and treated at the Thornton’s Recycling composting facility in Co. Meath.  Approximately 20 tonnes of compost will be on offer this year .

This is an extremely popular community initiative and due to demand, compost collections take place on a first come, first served basis and are restricted to one bag/container per household. Please bring your own bag or container with you.
