Free Community Compost 2016
Spring has sprung and for our local community gardeners, Croke Park’s annual community compost scheme will take place on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th.
This stadium initiative is organised in conjunction with Thornton’s Recycling and is open to all local residents to avail of free compost.
The compost derives from compostable waste collected from the stadium and treated at the Thornton’s Recycling composting facility in Co. Meath.
This year will be our biggest community composting scheme to date with approximately 20 tonnes of compost on offer to local residents.
This is always an extremely popular community initiative and please note that due to this demand, compost collections will take place on a first come, first served basis and are restricted to one bag per household.
