Community Compost 2017

Spring has sprung and for our local gardeners, Croke Park’s annual community compost scheme will take place on Saturday, 1st and Sunday, 2nd April 2017 from 10am-4pm each day.

This stadium initiative is organised in conjunction with Thornton’s Recycling and is open to all local residents to avail of free compost.

The compost derives from compostable waste collected from the stadium and treated at the Thornton’s Recycling composting facility in Co. Meath.

Approximately 20 tonnes of compost will be on offer this year to local residents.

This is an extremely popular community initiative and due to the demand, compost collections will take place on a first come, first served basis and are restricted to one bag per household.  Please bring your own bag or container with you.

Where:     Outer Cusack Car Park, Croke Park - entry via St. Josephs Avenue

When:      Saturday, 1st April - 10am to 4pm and Sunday, 2nd April - 10am to 4pm.
