Croke Park is celebrating on a high as the Kellogg’s Skyline Tour turns 10!

Summer 2022 marks the ten year anniversary of one of Ireland’s top attractions, the Kellogg’s Skyline Tour at Croke Park. Originally opened to the public back in 2012, our Skyline attraction is a thrilling 17-storey high rooftop tour suspended over the pitch of Croke Park, known as the headquarters of the GAA and one of Europe’s most iconic stadiums.

It wouldn't be a birthday celebration without a party, so our team at the GAA Museum at Croke Park are taking the celebrations to new heights with a ‘Tours on the House’ party on Friday 5th of August. For one day only tours of Croke Park’s famous rooftop will be literally ‘on the house’ or free of charge, but must be booked online in advance. Tickets are first come first served and with a limit of five tickets per person.

TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT

This free day out is a unique opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the Dublin skyline, quirky stories, and incredible tour guides.  Visitors can get their photo taken with the Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups with a unique backdrop and there will be surprise treats and spot prizes throughout the day.  It is important to note that the Kellogg’s Skyline Tour at Croke Park is not suitable for infants and younger children and all visitors must be 1.2 metres or taller to take the tour.

The sky is the limit when it comes to anniversary offerings as the GAA Museum has also announced a new ‘Discover Dublin’ Tour Series, which will commence on Friday 23rd September and run weekly until the 18th November 2022.  Each Friday evening, the Kellogg’s Skyline Tour will be taken over by different Dublin experts, who together with the talented team of Skyline tour guides, will offer a themed tour topic each week. These rooftop tours will cover a variety of topics from tenement Dublin to emigration, the Dublin music scene and much more. Tours will depart from the GAA Museum at 3.15pm and last approx. 90 minutes.  They must be booked online in advance and are again not suitable for younger children.

Discover Dublin Tours

Commenting on 10 years of the Kelloggs Skyline Tours, Niamh McCoy GAA Museum Director said “Since the establishment of a new rooftop walkway on top of Croke Park in 2012, we have welcomed Dublin locals, Irish visitors, sporting fans, tourists, high-profile dignitaries, and celebrities! It has been 10 years of breath-taking views, illuminating talks, historical revelations, milestones and more. We have seen over 3,650 sunrise and sunsets, quirky activities including yoga and abseiling, as well as romantic proposals and memorable weddings. When you look back, the 10 year milestone is certainly a source of pride and a genuine success story. We look forward to everyone being in good spirits for the ‘tours on the house’ party on the 5th of August as well as the upcoming Discover Dublin Tour series which will be unmissable for history buffs and those in search of unique experiences.”
