Bill Barry, Croke Park’s Chief Voluntary Steward has been shortlisted to win the Sports & Recreation category for the Ireland Involved Awards 2010.

Bill joined the Croke Park Voluntary Stewards Team in 1976. He has held nearly every stewarding position in the Stadium including Hill 16, the Hogan Stand, the dressing rooms and sideline duty, supervisor and recently Chief Steward. With 34 years of experience, his voluntary contribution is an essential asset to Croke Park Stadium and the GAA community. Bill’s exceptionable leadership skills are demonstrated through how well the volunteers work together as a team.

Each volunteer shortlisted for an award has their own page on www.irelandinvolved.ie , where you can leave a message of support and thanks. Each person's messages will be collated into a booklet and presented to the volunteer as a special keepsake.
