Museum Opening Arrangements - Sunday 18th August
12th August 2013
As Croke Park hosts the second semi-final in this year's GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, there will be alterations to the GAA Museum's opening hours and stadium tour schedule.
On Sunday 18th August, the GAA Museum will be open from 12.30 - 15.30 with access restricted to match ticket-holders only. Admission to the newly-refurbished GAA Museum is just €3 on a match day.
As the hurlers of Clare and Limerick prepare to battle for a place in September's decider against Cork, master craftsman John Torpey will showcase the craft of hurley-making in the GAA Museum, located under the Cusack Stand. From 12.30 - 3.30, a number of hurley-making workshops will take place in the museum.
While Stadium tours will not operate on Sunday 18th August, a special pre-match guided tour of Croke Park is available from 11.15. Advance booking is required as places are limited on this very unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of Croke Park in the final hour before the stadium turnstiles open on one of the biggest days in the Irish sporting calendar. The pre-match stadium tour price includes a match ticket for the Lower Cusack Stand - find out more.
