The 2013 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series continues on Saturday 10th August with Tipperary's Tommy Dunne.

Tipperary’s All-Ireland winning captain from 2001 will join staff of the GAA Museum on a unique guided tour of Croke Park Stadium on the eve of the second semi-final in this year’s GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.

Tommy enjoyed a distinguished playing career at midfield with the Premier County from 1992 until 2005.  In 2001, he captained them to All-Ireland success and later that year was awarded Hurler of the Year at the All Star Awards.  He was also named as the Texaco Hurler of the Year and the Gaelic Players Association Hurler of the Year for 2001.

Tommy achieved success at under-21 level with Tipperary, winning a coveted All-Ireland medal in 1995 following victory over Kilkenny.  Success at senior level included two Munster championships, three National Hurling Leagues and three All Star awards (1997, 1999, 2001).

Tommy retired from inter-county hurling in 2005 and immediately became involved in team management. He was a selector on the Tipperary minor team that captured the All-Ireland title in 2007. He later served as coach, under the management of Ken Hogan, to the Tipperary under-21 team that captured the All-Ireland in 2010 and with the senior team, under Declan Ryan, in 2011 and 2012.

With his club, Toomevara, Tommy has won 10 Tipperary senior county championships and three Munster club hurling championships.

Booking is essential as places are limited.
