OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta (PCT) is responsible for the management and operation of Croke Park Stadium. The stadium management company is committed to providing a safe environment for staff, contractors and visitors to the stadium, and to its responsibilities as a member of the local community.

It is the policy of Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta (PCT) to promote high standards of health, safety and welfare that complies with the provisions and requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) 2007 Regulations, the Code of Practice for Safety at Sports Grounds and all other relevant statutory provisions and codes of practice. 

Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta is committed to:

  • Ensuring that all Croke Park personnel whether full time, part time or voluntary are informed of the Health & Safety Policy through their safety induction to the Company, and on-going safety training and to bring to their attention the contents of the Safety Statement to all at least annually, by providing them with access to the document.
  • Making available Croke Park’s Health & Safety Policy to interested third parties through entry points into the stadium and on Croke Park Website 
  • Encouraging full and effective joint consultation, with Croke Park personnel and third parties, on all health, safety and welfare at work matters.
  • To provide health surveillance where a need is identified by a risk assessment or where prescribed by law.
  • The continual improvement of the Safety Management System, ensuring that it is reviewed annually and that it remains relevant and appropriate to the activities and scope of Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta.
  • To provide sufficient resources for the implementation of this policy and to seek competent advice if required.

The senior management of Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta (PCT) have planned and established measurable objectives and targets based on the Health and Safety Policy. These objectives are regularly reviewed and measured to ensure they reflect the activities of the company. Management also strive to build on the Health and Safety Management System we have achieved through a process of continuous improvement.
