Health & Safety

The health and safety of all staff, contractors and visitors is of paramount importance to the management of Páirc an Chrócaigh Teo.

Safety Management System

A comprehensive Safety Management System is implemented by Croke Park Operations Department and ensures that Health and Safety plays an integral part of all activity in the stadium including concerts, match days, conference/events and day to day maintenance and activities.

OHSAS 18001 Certification

Croke Park is the first stadium in Europe to be awarded the OHSAS 18001 certification; the globally recognised standard for best practice in occupational health and safety.

The audit was carried out by SGS Ireland and included a live event which took place at the All Ireland Football Final, 22nd September.

Croke Park Safety Management Team

The Croke Park Safety Management Team is comprised of many components. Croke Park management rely consistently on the assistance of the many arms of the emergency services, not least the Gardaí, fire and medical services. It has a dedicated team of stewards from a variety of backgrounds whose efforts are invaluable to the stadium. It is of great importance that all staff on site have an appreciation of what is required in the context of Health and Safety.
