Context

Biographical history

Annual Congress is the supreme governing body of the Camogie Association, meeting once a year on the last weekend of March. Congress is comprised of the outgoing members of Ardchomhairle, one Provincial Council delegate, county delegates appointed according to the number of clubs in their respective counties, two delegates from each of the Cumann na mBunscol, Comhairle Chamogaiochta um Ard‐Oideachas and Comhairle Chamogaiochta na nIarbhunscoileanna and delegates from affiliated international units.

The functions of Congress is to consider and approve an Annual Report from the Ard Stiurthoir, Sub‐Committees and subsidiary units (Provincial Councils, National Education Councils & International Boards); to consider audited accounts of Ardchomhairle and Provincial Councils for the preceding year; to elect an tUachtaran; to elect, by secret ballot, three members of Ardchomhairle; to consider motions and enact, amend or rescind rules, and determine Association policy in broad outline.
